Roland debuts VGA-5 V-Guitar amplifier
After years of extensive R&&D,Roland is proud to introduce the VGA-5 V-Guitar Amplifier,a 65-watt 1 x 12 ” digital modeling guitar amp equipped with a range of expressive ,authentic tones designed to outperform all other modeling amps on the market today.Built for fast, easy operation and ultimate tonal flexibility, the compact VGA-5 serves up its killer amp tones and Roland and BOSS-derived effects with simple knob-based controls and intuitive design.
The VGA-5 offers dynamic and responsive COSM models of 11 distinct amp types —from vintage and modern tube amps to solid-state and acoustic amps —plus 11 speaker cabinet selections. These amp models sound more realistic and musical than any digital amp before, from sparkling clean sounds,to warm bluesy tones or high-gain rock and metal. That ’s because unlike other static-sounding digital modeling amps —which approximate one sound of the “modeled ” guitar amp at a particular volume and setting —the VGA-5 ’s COSM-based models incorporate the complete response characteristics of the modeled amp,at different volumes and with different tonal settings. {2054.jpg To compliment its stellar amp tones, the VGA-5 incorporates four independent onboard effects processors:an EFX processor which includes wah, tremolo, compressor, Slow Gear, phaser and flanger;plus dedicated Delay,Chorus, and Reverb processors. Any EFX algorithm can be combined with a delay, chorus,or reverb algorithm, giving users up to four simultaneous effects. All VGA-5 amp and effects sounds can be tweaked using simple knob-based controls, and then saved along with amp model and speaker cabinet simulation into one of10 User memories (or 40 User memories using an optional MIDI foot controller).Patch and effects selection is also controllable via optional footswitches or using an optional MIDI foot controller like the Roland GFC-50.
Rounded out with a built-in Acoustic Guitar Simulator and Acoustic amp model for acoustic gigs,a Line output for recording applications,a 12 ” Celestion speaker,,and sturdy construction throughout, the VGA-5 arrives as the perfect middle-sized amp for those looking for a range of great tones with minimum hassle. It joins the flagship VGA-7 V-Guitar amp to create the most powerful digital modeling guitar amp lineup in existence.
