Emagic announces VST 2.0 compatible version of the EXS24 software sampler, for both Mac anEmagic announces an upcoming VST 2.0 compatible version of its popular, award-winning EXS24 software sampler, for both Mac and Windows. This means that, in addition to users of Logic Audio, users of VST 2.0-capable sequencing software will be able use the EXS24.The number of EXS24 VST units which can be used in parallel depends on the VST2.0 compatible program that serves as host. Each EXS24 VST itself can generate up to 64 voices — dependent on the available computing resources. Compatibility of EXS24 VST An increasing number of sound manufacturers offer Library Samples in the EXS24 format. In addition, the EXS24 VST is compatible with a broad range of the most popular current sample formats. Not only can it convert Akai S1000/S3000 samples, but can also convert the SampleCell and SoundFont2 formats. Thanks to the 32 Bit internal signal processing, extremely high sound quality is guaranteed. A sample can be WAV, AIFF, SDII or an imported format, with a resolution between 8 and 24 Bits at sample rates up to 96 kHz.
