Juice Goose JG8.0 Rackmount Power Distributor
The Juice Goose JG8.0 features a full, 7 in. deep rack-mounted chassis with an illuminated power switch, current overload protection, and 8 outlets on the back, rotated 90 degrees to better accommodate "wall wart" power supplies. It also boasts 15 amps of power in a stylish Black steel chassis and includes AC line conditioning and spike protection. Current Overload Protection When to Say When: All of their current handling products, except the PD1, feature a circuit breaker to limit AC current to the rated capacity of the product. In case of a short circuit or continuous power current overload, the circuit breaker will shut off the AC until the dangerous condition is corrected. This breaker can be reset by waiting 1 minute after the breaker trips and pressing the button on the breaker. Do not tamper with this device. It's there to protect you. Noise and Spike Protection Safe: Juice Goose and onePower offer 2 levels of AC power conditioning: Basic: JG Series and Advanced... Rackpower Series. The Basic power conditioning includes a fast-acting metal oxide varistor (MOV) installed to clamp voltage spikes running between the incoming line and neutral leads. This level of conditioning also includes a capacitor to reduce the level of AC line interference that may be transmitted between the line and neutral leads. The Advanced power conditioning in the Rackpower Series (also featured in the onePower CQ1500) includes a fast-acting 3 MOV matrix between line, neutral, and ground. In addition, these products incorporate a multi-stage EMI/RFI filter system that uses ferrite chokes and capacitors to reduce troublesome AC line noise. Warranties Strong Customer Support: All Juice Goose and onePower products are manufactured to exacting standards and backed by the best warranty in the industry. Most of these products are covered by a fully transferable 3-year warranty on parts and labor (give the Juice Goose to a friend, he's covered, too). The JG Junior is backed by a 1-year warranty. The first Juice Goose (R) models were developed to control AC power voltage that, in the mid 1980's, was increasingly identified as a cause of chronic mis-operation of sensitive audio equipment. Those early voltage regulators incorporated the reliable, high-performance, ferro-resonant transformer design into a wide range of products. Very quickly these units became the standard for voltage regulation in professional audio applications. Most of these early products are still performing to specification many years later. Over the years Juice Goose has developed a broad line of valuable yet economical power distribution products.
