An ear trainer program can help develop your skills. No matter what kind of musician you are, singer, guitarist, keyboard player or even a drummer.

It is very hard for most musicians and even trained musicians to guess just one single note, this is called absolute hearing or absolute pitch. Only a few people will develop this ability. So don't be disappointed if you can not guess every single note.
But almost everybody can at least learn to come close to it.
Also almost any musician can develop a relative hearing or relative pitch. This is what you actually can train no matter how good or bad you are or how much 'talent' you have.
This means you can not hear which note the first note is. But what you can hear is the distance between the previous note and the next. So let's asume you were totally wrong on the first on.
