Allen & Heath ABTT Theatre Show ML3000 live sound VCA console iDR DSP PA-CP powered mixers
Allen & Heath will be showcasing the ML3000 live sound VCA console, iDR DSP audio system and PA-CP series of powered mixers at the forthcoming ABTT Theatre Show, taking place 18th and 19th June at the Royal Horticultural Halls, London.
The ML3000 15 buss live sound VCA console has proven to be a popular choice for theatre rental companies and venues needing advanced functionality such as an 8x4 matrix, 8 auxes including stereo and LCR, all in a compact mixer. The VCA assignment and mutes can be controlled by a PC-based archiver. The ML3000's flexibility as hire stock or as a house desk is enhanced by its dual functionality, allowing the desk to be used in front-of-house and /or monitoring roles.
iDR is new to the Allen & Heath portfolio and is a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) audio system for fixed installation. The system is designed for venues which require a variety of audio functions including background music and voiceover announcements, as well as the actual performance of live music and microphone inputs. The system can also interface with other equipment such as fire alarms or lights. It comprises a range of hardware units, wall plates and remote controllers which build into integrated systems set up using iDR System Manager software. iDR includes compressors, limiters, input and output delays and parametric EQ with crossover functions on all 16 channels. Control parameters are saved to patches, which may then be recalled by the operator using front panel keys, the PL series of remote controls or 'virtual' wall plates using PL Designer software.
Ideal for fringe performances or roadshows, the PA12-CP and PA20-CP 1kW powered mixers are "portable" mixers and also the first products to benefit from Allen & Heath's new 'Constant Power' amplifier technology, which gives a full 500W RMS per side into either 4 or 8 ohms. Other key assets include a new padless preamp, internal FX unit, SPDIF output, parametric output EQ and the useful addition of a 4 pin XLR socket for a desk lamp.
