Relative Pitch: Ear training, Relative hearing

Relative pitch is the ability to hear what note is played compared to a previous played note. Almost anybody is able to train this kind of hearing. Let's listen to the example below

Each note you will hear will somehow interact with another note being played.
What you are hearing:

1) E2-E3
2) E2-B2
3) E2-G2
4) E2-F2

In this example you hear 4 intervals.
The first interval sounds Neutral, this is an octave
The second interval also sound neutral, but smaller this is a Perfect 5th interval
The 3rd interval sounds like a harmony, this is a minor 3rd interval
The 4th is a minor 2nd interval, and it sounds terrible to most people.
