Leading Tone: what does Leading Tone mean in Scale Music Theory
Leading Tone, the seventh note of the major, harmonic or melodic minor scale.
The leading tone is a half note (half step) lower than the tonic.
The name is used because it can be used to flow melodically into the tonic (root).
