Ernie Ball and Best Buy Team Up with Local Heroes Tour This Summer and FallSAN LUIS OBISPO, CA - Ernie Ball teams up with Best Buy Co., Inc. to bring the "Best Buy/Ernie Ball Local Heroes Tour" to 63 markets in the U.S. this summer and fall. The tour, which began August 15 in Tallahassee, FL, features local, regional and national acts at Best Buy stores throughout the East Coast, Midwest and South through October. The Ernie Ball self-contained Mobile Stage will travel to each venue, providing the professional staging for bands to play to a live audience. "It's harder than ever in today's market for talented new musicians to gain recognition. Both Ernie Ball and Best Buy feel that the lifeblood of the music industry is in emerging talent," said Sterling Ball, president of Ernie Ball. "We both have a keen interest in supporting up and coming bands, and want to give them the opportunity to gain exposure."The free concerts run from 4 to 8 p.m. at each stop, bringing to the local venue a combination of bands, from area bands who played in the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, to bands working with Best Buy, and even MCA bands for the Florida dates.
