reading Sheet Music: the Bass or F Clef Symbols and Definition

The Bass Clef or F Clef is the sign used in the beginning of the bar, this symbol is used to describe how to read the sheet music. If you look closely you will find that when trying to 'write' this symbol you would start with a big dot on the 2nd line of the sheet music.
If you look closely there are also two small dots on each side of the 2nd line. And the symbol even looks like an F.

Remember this! It means you will start counting notes from the 2nd line 'The F Line' every note on this line is a F! Hence the name F-clef.

So a note on the F line is called a F note.
