Lyrics in Songwriting: basics Lyric Form and Structure

First time songwriters always have trouble writing lyrics. Especially those who write the music first and then start thinking about some lyrics for the music they have just written.
Although this is a way of writing songs it sometimes is harder to write lyrics after you have written the music. It's sometimes better to start writing with some music ideas in mind and write part of the music when you are writing the lyrics.
This has all to do with structure and form of lyrics. In this article we'll look at some basic concepts of form and structure.

Just like a chord sequence, lyrics have a rhythm that is important to the music rhythm and the chord sequence used. So instead of look at the words, we're going to look at rhythm form and structure.
