TC Electronic opens Representative Office in ChinaRISSKOV, DENMARK: To comply with the growing demands from the markets in China, and Asia in general, TC Electronic has now opened an office in Beijing. Thomas Märcher, former Area Sales Manager for Asia, took up his new position November 1st as General Manager at TC China & TC Asia. Opening an office in Beijing is first of all based on the recent increase in sales in China, and the conviction that China will grow into one of the strongholds of the audio business in Asia in the near future.Thomas Märcher explains: "As an Area Sales Manager in Asia I have followed the development over the years very closely. We've had great success getting into the Asian markets so far, and now the time has come to strengthen our position in the region. Opening an office in Beijing is first of all based on the recent increase in sales in China, and the conviction that China will grow into one of the strongholds of the audio business in Asia in the near future. But secondly, having an office in China will benefit all the distributors in the area, as well as the customers and dealers, since we're now able to support them with our own educated and dedicated staff." The opening of TC Electronic China coincides with the opening of China's first large-scale commercial recording studio, Oasis Studios in Beijing. Thomas Märcher adds: "Oasis studios is one of the most exciting studios I have ever seen. Housed in an area of 15.000 sq. ft. next to three beautiful lakes, with 2 large control rooms and 6 booths - one of them able to house an 80-piece orchestra - the studio will initiate a new era in the Chinese recording industry. Both rooms are capable of surround sound mixing." Dindae Sheena, Vice-President & C.O.O. of Oasis Studios, continues: "With the TC Electronic System 6000 Multi-channel Mainframe already in place, as well as an M3000 Reverb, several M-ONEs and D-TWOs, we will be able to do multi-channel recordings from both of our control rooms. Oasis is also equipped with TC2290 and FireworX. And with TC now in China, we would definitely be forging ahead in setting a new level for the recording industry in not just China, but Asia as well. We would love to see a stronger market presence of TC's products here." Over the last two years TC Electronic has restructured their entire sales setup in Europe, and have benefited greatly from it. Today more than ten countries in Europe have their own TC Electronic offices, as well as USA and Japan - and now China.
