Bass Sounds in Heavy Metal and Techno causes Lung Damgage
Belgian researchers have found a disturbing relationship between Pneumohorax and loud music. A Pneumohorax is free air in the chest outside the lung. The researchers found that about 1 in 5 of Pneumohorax coming in at the hospital had been in contact with loud bass sounds before suffering from Pneumohorax.
The researchers found that loud bass sounds causes lung damage in the form of small tears, which can cause Pneumohorax. Smokers were even more in danger because smoking also causes lung damage. Normally only people with an underlying lung disease or smokers and older people suffer from Pneumohorax.
Especially people visiting Heavy Metal and Techno Music Concerts with loud bass sound seem to be in danger.
