Leading Studio Bassist Glenn Worf and Elixir Strings
Leading studio bassist Glenn Worf, whose vibrant career has seen him perform and record with such top artists as Aaron Neville, Toby Keith, Larry Carlton, Tammy Wynette, Marty Robbins, Lonny Mack, Bob Seger and Mark Knopfler, is among the latest professional players to string with Elixir Strings.
Elixir Strings, Worf confides, have become his perennial favorites. “What struck me from the beginning upon first playing with Elixir Strings was its amazing sound right out of the box,” explains Worf. “There was no need for any break-in period. They were immediately ready to play the minute they were strung onto my bass. To my ear, they always have the exact sound I am looking for.”
While Worf says he spends a lot of time outdoors facing “very demanding conditions for strings,” he adds that Elixir Strings deliver an additional benefit to its exceptional sound. “When first trying out Elixir Strings, I had no idea that they could last so long. That’s the other reason why I became such a fan. They always sound great immediately and last for an incredible amount of time.”
Worf is playing his Elixir Strings alongside several artists. He is recording new albums with country greats Alan Jackson and George Strait as well as with new artist Charlie Pate.
