NEWS  SoundField MKV Microphone for Jump Blues Project
(11/27) The SoundField MKV Microphone System has been used in the recording of the Deacon John’s Jump Blues concert recorded at the Orpheum Theatre in New Orleans. The concert was the culmination of eighteen months work on the Jump Blues Project - an ambitious combination of film, studio CD, HDTV and surround sound production.Engineers Jake Niceley (co-owner of Seventeen Grand Studios) and David Farrell (Ultrasonic Studios, New Orleans) positioned a few audience microphones to fold into the final surround mix, but in addition, they needed to capture the stage ambience and imaging to deliver a believable final product.
