Circular Logic InTime Tempo Tracking System for Recording Music
Circular Logic has released a Universal Binary version of the InTime Tempo Tracking System for Mac OS X. "We're happy to bring InTime to the latest line of Apple computers.", says InTime's inventor, Dr. Large. "The Intel platform allows OS X to handle all the latest demands of music technology, and InTime now runs even more efficiently."
InTime is the only true tempo tracking system available commercially, expanding how musicians think about performing and creating music with computers. With InTime, musicians play freely, and the computer follows their tempo changes in real-time, allowing natural expression in computer-accompanied live performance, composition and recording. Musicians are free to improvise because InTime does not need to know in advance what the user intends to play. InTime version 1.4 is also available for Windows users. InTime is priced at $159 USD, with fully-functioning demo versions available for download at www.circular-logic.com. Demo videos, showing InTime in use, are also available on the website.
InTime is capable of following broad, sweeping tempo fluctuations, as well as the subtle nuances of playing with a groove, both with remarkable accuracy. The favorite use of InTime is to synchronize software sequencers and effects to a live drummer or other musician, so the performers are no longer stuck following the rigid timing of a computer. Other users take advantage of InTime's natural tempo tracking to record tracks with a natural feel, improve the accuracy of notation software, or even have a light show sync up to what they play.
Circular Logic is a music software company based in Boca Raton, Florida, USA, specializing in advanced tempo and rhythm tracking technologies. Founded by Dr. Edward W Large, one of the world's leading authorities in music perception, Circular Logic strives to enable musicians to work more naturally with computers by bringing advances in the science of human perception to the art of making music.
