AMD supports Composers Audio Engineers with revolutionary AMD64 Digital Audio Workstations
AMD Opteron processors help pioneer new dimensions of performance and production for extreme music creation and editing-
-At the 115th Audio Engineering Society (AES) Convention, AMD announced its collaboration with Open Labs, RackSaver and Steinberg Audio to offer AMD Opteron processor-based digital audio workstations (DAW). AMD also announced its recent role in the digital editing of Fuel’s Natural Selection and the forthcoming Korn record, Take a Look in the Mirror.
“Musicians and audio engineers have access to such an amazing array of virtual instruments and software-based production tools that require sophisticated power and performance to keep up with their level of innovation,” said Marty Seyer, vice president and general manager, Microprocessor Business Unit. “The AMD64 platform is designed with these users in mind, offering the simultaneous 32- and 64-bit computing necessary to power an ultimate creativity machine. Music is a personal area of interest for me, and it is simply unbelievable what can be done with these new solutions.”
