Yamaha DTXPRESS III Special Edition Drum Kit
For almost five years, the Yamaha DTXPRESS series electronic drum kits have set a standard in performance and value for the professional and amateur drummer. With an emphasis on improved sound, natural feel and user-friendliness, Yamaha Drums will introduce two updated models for Winter NAMM 2004—the DTXPRESS III and the DTXPRESS III Special Edition.
Targeted to customers in the market for a higher-end option, the DTXPRESS III Special Edition contains all the features of the DTXPRESS III, with the addition of an ergonomic curved rack; three round multi-zone cymbal pads (3-zone, 2-zone and mono); and a high hat controller with the unique combination of an acoustic-type stand and electronic pad. The kit is set to deliver in March 2004, and ships with a single bass drum pedal and drum throne. "Never before has an electronic drum kit with similar features made it under $2,000 retail," states Jim Haler, Drum product manager.
