New yamaha precision series marching drumsticks
NASHVILLE–After two years of research and development, Yamaha has introduced the new Precision 720 and Precision 655 marching drumsticks. The unique design for both sticks uses three different tapers for exceptional balance and response. These models have been engineered to ensure a consistent and durable pair of sticks every time.
The Precision 720 was designed in conjunction with the Yamaha SFZ snare drum. "With these sticks, you will achieve an articulate sound as well as projection and body from the drum," says Joel Tetzlaff, product specialist, Band & Orchestral Division, Yamaha Corporation of America. "These sticks play themselves; they feel great whether you’re using them on a drum or a pad."
The Precision 655 marching drumstick was designed with a dual purpose–as an indoor stick or as a junior marching stick. This drumstick uses the same design as the Precision 720 but is scaled down for a more articulate indoor sound and for developing smaller hands.
With this stick, a student can start with the 655 and progress into the larger 720 stick. The concept of having the same design, yet in different sizes, allows the student to easily make the transition from one stick to the other, and provides consistent quality.
