Yamaha chop block drum pads introduced

NASHVILLE–The new series of Chop Block snare drum pads from Yamaha are available in four different models for the serious percussionist. One model has a unique soft snare sound. The two 7-in. models are available either in a double-sided version or a one-sided pad with mount. The two 9-in. models are available in a double-sided version or a one-sided snare pad with the soft snare sound. All pads use a medium-soft navy neoprene surface, while the two-sided pads use a hard black neoprene surface opposite the soft side.

"The new pads offer a great feel and are very hard to put down," notes Joel Tetzlaff, product specialist, Band & Orchestral Division, Yamaha Corporation of America. "Their unique shape and weight make them easy to play on your lap or a tabletop."

For more information on Yamaha percussion accessories, visit Yamaha at Summer NAMM 2000, Nashville Convention Center, Booth 650; write Yamaha Corporation of America, Band and Orchestral Division, 3445 East Paris Ave. S.E., Grand Rapids, MI 49512;
