how to use the Drum Sticks

The drum sticks are the most essential part of drumming. In a way they are like hands for a drummer. They are certainly not just a piece of wood which is used to hit something, although that will work too..
The wood of the drum stick is important for both feel and sound. If you hit a cymbal or a tom it is not just the cymbal that just make the sound. A cymbal may still sound after you have hit it, but when you hit it both the cymbal and drum stick will sound.
