The floor tom is an excellent part of your drum kit to creat great rhythms. Take a look at the next Drum Tab and listen. You should be able to hear immediately how similar this is to a standard drum rhythm.

This type of floor tom rhythm is used a lot in rock and metal drum rhtyhms. But it is also used when a strong 4 beat is needed in pop, blues or country music.
