Because fast triggering and expressive response are among the most desired qualities of an electronic percussion set, the V-drums starts by giving drummers superior trigger response. Roland technological breakthroughs have also given birth to positional detection with both the current PD-7/9 pads and the new PD-100/120 pads, which even allow expressive triggering via brushes. The result is that the drummer can now "feel" the drum set (its natural variations and nuances) in a way never possible, guaranteeing sonic satisfaction.
