LP Instructional CDs Drum Solos Volumes 1, 2 & 3

It's getting hard to learn Latin rhythms the way the masters played them. Outside of an occasional reissues (see the LP CD Collection), authentic recordings are getting scarce.
With this in mind, LP Music Group is offering a reissue of the instructional titles formerly available only on cassette. Originally released in the late seventies, Drum Solos, Volumes 1, 2 and 3, presents progressively more challenging rhythmic studies with each CD. Each volume consists of two versions of each track. The first version is played by a quartet consisting of two percussionists, a piano and bass player. The second version, features just the piano and bass players, giving opportunity for the novice percussionist to play along. All tracks are at least five minutes in length created to duplicate a live performance situation.

This series of CD reissues from the LP Music Group answers the current demand for quality Latin percussion instructional materials. The fact that they are produced by LP Founder and Chairman Martin Cohen lends assurance that the instrument sounds will be appropriate, the rhythms will be played as they should be, and that, in each instance, the clave will be correct!
