Elixir wins MIPA Best Guitar Strings Award
Elixir Strings, the pioneer of long-life string technology, was recently honored with a Musikmesse International Press Award 2005 (MIPA) for their Elixir Strings with Nanoweb Coating. The strings were voted “Best Guitar Strings,” by 58 music product magazines from 20 countries. Held in Frankfurt, Germany, Musikmesse is a global music products trade show that brings together more than 300 international representatives of manufacturers and distributors of musical instruments and audio equipment.
The annual MIPA is one of the most coveted trophies in the
musical instrument industry and is referred to as the "Grammy" for musical
instruments.
“It’s truly an honor for Elixir Strings to receive the MIPA for best guitar strings and we are proud to accept it,” said Steve Young, Elixir Strings Business Leader. “This validates our belief that coated strings are quickly becoming the standard for guitar strings around the world.”
With this MIPA, Elixir Strings has been recognized for excellence yet again. In 2004, Elixir Strings won Acoustic Guitar Magazine’s Players' Choice Award receiving a Gold Award in Accessories for Steel Strings and a Silver Award in the highly coveted Most Popular Accessories Manufacturer category. In keeping with their long-standing tradition of exceptional quality and value, Elixir Strings has won the Gold (1st place) players’ choice award every year since the contest’s inception in 1998.
Together, these awards show the high degree of both critical acclaim and player popularity of Elixir Strings and represent two milestones in a great and exciting success story.
