I'm incredibly new to recording, so please forgive me if this sounds basic. I run GrooveAgent through Cubase LE and a TASCAM Us-428 mixer. I note that when I begin a new project, the drums are loud and clear, but become softer and less well-refined as additional tracks are added. Is this a compression problem, or is there something else I might want to try.

Thanks to anyone who can help
