I have not been plying for long, and just bought a brand new amp. I play sitting on my bed, like 5 feet from the amp. The amp usually buzz a little when my hand are off of the strings. Is this normal between the gain, volume and master switch, or am I just sitting too close. (It is a 15 watt amp, Vox Valetronix)

Most guitars are wired so your hand grounds the guitar. This buzz is normal. You don't want your pickups facing the amp unless you want feedback.
