I'm considering buying a tenor off ebay that's from maestro, but I don't know if maestro is a good brand or not. So could anyone fill me in on this brand?

I bought a Maestro tenor off ebay. It was black with gold keys, beautiful. I didn't play much yet, just starting (jr high). Played it all through Highschool. . . But. . . . It was never in tune. It was always sharp, for the life of me I couldn't get it to stay in tune. Alot of shops also would not work on it because it wasn't made with a standard screw sizes. It wasn't a horrible instrument for the money we paid. . . However if you're looking for more than a cheap hobby, I would go with a different brand
