I've been playing the violin for at least three years and I though it was time to buy one of my own. I have been told that you should start of with a cheap violin for about $100 dollars but then my music teacher said that should at least buy one for at least $500 if I want a good one. I have looking at stores like Metzler Violin shop and Sam Ash but I don't know where to buy it and how to tell if it is good quality I really need advise from somebody who knows. Also which store would be best to buy it in(well which one of those two above)?
