I love writing songs, and I think I am damn good at it. I tried a few sites to sell my songs, but most of them are either contests (I'm not trying to compete with anyone) or "We will help you sell your songs-if you give us $399". Or, something to that effect. I can also sing. . . . too bad I don't play the guitar, I could just do everything myself, lol. Anyway, if anyone has any advice, PLEASE write me back. Hi, unfortuneately, I don`t have an answer for you, except to tell you to make sure your songs are copy written first, then try and sell them. At least that`s what I was told by a friend. If you do find a site or some way of selling your songs or any advice for that matter for me, please e-mail me back. I have about 70 songs written, just lyrics, not music, and want to sell them as soon as possible. | Troglodite

Its probably not what U want To Hear but here we go. I myself are only a lyricist and dont compose music to what I write
So I have to seek other methods of having my songs delivered to the right sauce, and here's what I did after searching for anyone who could help I located a site Paramount Group of Nashville and submitted my lyrics for evaluation and landed a sonwriting contract as a result. But being only a lyricist I needed a melody/composer to add the music and unfortunately
They dont come cheap to give your song the best possible chance
You must have it recoded by prfessionals and then circulate it
Among local publishers and Professional artists trying to
Have one make a recording. the rest U can guess. time to make a choice if you want recognition it comes at a price. good luck

To copyright the songs or lyrics put them on a cd. then go to the post office and send them to yourself by registered mail detailing the contents at the post office. When it arrives at your home do NOT open it. Just keep it safe(bank or safe in your home) and your songs are copyrighted. oldest and cheaest way to do it. Also if you find a decent place to sell songs please let me know. Very hard to find a site that is'nt benefitting more than the actual artist | |
