Hello, I am not sure if you can help me, but I own an old Charvel bolt-on neck style guitar and I am trying to find out what model it actually is. The serial number is 352271 and it is made in Japan. Is there anyway I can trace this ser. no. to find out what model it is. It is very similar to a model 6 but this model has a neck-thru, mine has a bolt-on neck.

Not to sure if you got your answer yet , but incase you are still wondering about the model # of your charvel. . . .
You said that it is similar to a model 6 except the neck is bolt on. I have owned the exact guitar that you are describing for almost twenty years. Sounds like you have a model 4 charvel/jackson. the model 4 & 6 are identical except the model 4 is 22 fret/bolt on neck & the model 6 is 24 fret/neck thru body. To my recolection the only other difference is the ivory border that runs along the top edge and bottom edge of the neck on the model 6. In 1988 the model 4 retailed for 849. 95 and the model 6 retailed for 1049. 95. If the guitar that you are speaking of is in fact a model 4, then I recommend that you hang on to it for the rest of your guitar playing days, because you are in possesion of one of the greatest playing and sounding guitars on the planet earth!!!!
