EMG pickups!!??

Gaz666 ťmy Profile ťmy Messages ťmy Reviews	Post Reply Recommend Report Im about to buy a set of EMG pickups because ive herad alot of good things about them, I havent got down to my local music shop yet but I was wandering what would be best for my bc rich virgin platinum which is made out of agathis? So far im looking at either 60/81 or 81/85 active pickups (coz ive heard the HZ's suck) Any opinions??
Jamez ťmy Profile ťmy Messages ťmy Reviews	Post Reply Recommend Report Sure, I have a 85 / 85 in my Jackson guitar. Personally I find the 85 too muddy and warm when you use a lot of distortion. In my next guitar I'll probably take two EMG 81 pickups James
