I'm just getting started playing keyboard and singing along. I bought a Yamaha DGX 205 and I play chords with the left hand using the auto accompaniment. (I'm practicing with my right hand. ) Trouble is, I do not like the STYLES on the DGX 205 and somebody suggested that I upgrade to a DGX 505 where I can download other styles and store them on Smart media.
Please would someone give me some advice on this one. And are the preset styles on the DGX 505 the same as on the DGX 205? I know that they both have 135.
I'd appreciate any help!

Welcome to the club! I am a proud owner of a Yamaha DGX 500, and I must say it is the best musical instrument I have heard (outside Dave Koz's saxophone, that is). I love everything about this baby, except that the "styles" (I assume you mean drum settings) are hopelessly limited in my opinion. I just can't get the ruthms I am looking for and wonder if this has something to do with the fact that I am from Africa. I imagine, though, that one can set their own rythms . . . just tell me how!
