Playing Scales on Guitar: basics and fingering

Playing scales on guitar is not just simply finding where the notes are playing them in a random order. To really use and understand scales on guitar there are two things you need to learn.

1) The positions for scales on guitar. and
2) The right way to use a scale.

Although you should really understand both it is easier to start with the first one.
