Woods Sitka Spruce Top, Ovangkol Back & Sides The quick, articulate response of Sitka spruce is combined with the warmth and sparkle of ovangkol, giving the 400 Series a tone reminiscent of rosewood, yet uniquely its own. Dreadnought Refined A traditional shape refined, we combine classic dreadnought volume and bass response with the definitive Taylor sound: clear trebles and an open, airy midrange that Bob Taylors signature design accentuates. Dreadnoughts respond especially well to flatpicking or light-to-heavy strumming. Taylor Expression System Designed to faithfully reproduce your guitars native tone, the Expression System utilizes patented Dynamic Sensors to capture top and string vibration like never before. Created in partnership with renowned audio pioneer, Mr. Rupert Neve, the Taylor ES is seamlessly integrated into the design of the guitar from the ground up. Onboard tone controls provide added flavor, or set flat for an uncolored, exceptionally clean amplified sound. Satin with Gloss Top The finish used to create this guitars textured satin back and sides and lustrous gloss top was developed at Taylor for maximum durability and resistance to cold-checking. This ultra violet-cured finish is also more environmentally friendly than traditional lacquer finishes.
