Taylor GS Series Acoustic Guitar with Elixir Strings

Anton Gonyon, an aspiring musician who recently relocated to Austin, TX — the renowned live music capital — is off to a good start: He is already the proud owner of a Taylor GS Series guitar equipped with Elixir Strings.

Elixir Strings, the pioneer of long-life string technology, co-sponsored the Taylor GS Series raffle with Taylor Guitars at Maggie Mae’s on Austin’s famous Sixth Street during the 2007 South by Southwest Music and Media Conference. In addition to the Elixir Strings distributed to all attendees, Gonyon was delighted to go home with a new Taylor guitar.

“I’ve only owned a handful of guitars,” says Gonyon. “I’ve never been able to afford a very good one. Sometimes I played another person’s really nice guitar, but the Taylor takes the cake by far. I’ve never won anything like this — I still can’t believe it.”

“Each note sounds like a studio recording,” Gonyon marvels. “I am completely in over my head with this divine gift. But needless to say, I have been and am continuing to put it to good use.”
