Ibanez has made their family of RG series Guitars even larger by adding extra large guitars to their line-up.
With contemporary heavy rock exploring new lows in tuning and tone, neck scale length is important. Standard 6 string necks tuned down low just don’t cut it—the strings flop and note definition gets left in the dust. That's why Ibanez has equiped the new RG XL series guitars with the RG XL 27" scale necks, you can have all the low-end girthwith, all the articulation and clarity you need to cut through the mix.

The new XL series guitars come in 6 & 7 String Variants. With a 27" scale tuning down on the seven string is easier or more stable.
Even in A, the low end has tight, focused definition. And for those players that don’t wanna change their technique, applying ultra low chops on the 6 string has never been easier.
