Les Paul on stage in Nashville with Tech 21's trademark 60 combo Amp
Les Paul brought his trio --guitarist Frank Vignola, guitarist Lou Pallo and bassist Nicki Parrott-- to the Ryman Auditorium on July 18th to perform at Muriel Anderson's All Star Guitar Night Concert, held in his honor.
Truly an historic event, it was the guitar legend's first appearance in Nashville in 25 years. Paul, the quintessential entrepreneur of the modern day music industry, has long been using Tech 21's Trademark 60 combo amp for his weekly shows at Iridium in New York City. Proceeds of the concert and a silent auction benefit Music for Life Alliance and the Les Paul Music and Arts Center. As part of the evening's silent auction, Tech 21 donated a Trademark 60 like the one Les Paul used for his performance, as well as a Trademark 120 stereo combo, and an American Woman overdrive pedal.
Founded by Muriel Anderson, Music for Life Alliance is a grass roots organization dedicated to providing new and refurbished musical instruments to disadvantaged kids in school and community based music programs. The Les Paul Music & Arts Center is a non-profit public and artistic interactive forum for the advancement of musical expression, and destined to be a national treasure.
