I've been playing a variety of Gibson Les Pauls for over 25 years. And I've got to say, that I was totally blown away the day I stumbled across the Samick LS-450. In fact, I was so impressed with the way the guitar Felt, played and sounded, that I bought 2 of them right there on the spot!!! (I mean with a price tag like this, how could I not buy 2!!!) The bottom line is this: As a true guitarists, I have a profound personal preference when it comes to my equiptment; And in todays market, I have found, that as long as you use your head, and you exercise some patients, you don't have to pay a fortune to get quallity gear. So, here's my suggestion to anyone who's looking to buy a Les Paul styled guitar: Check out the "Samick LS-450" Before you fork over a few grand on a Gibson, and see for yourself. I believe you'll be as impressed as I am!!! Okay, so in case you're wondering, is there's a down side to the Samick LS-450? Well, not really when you consider how much they cost. However, as far as I'm concerned, the guitars do need a little personalized modification; but it's not much, and it's very affordable! For example, they definitly need: (1 )Strap Locks (2) New Machine Heads--Preferably "Grovers" (3) New Pick-Ups--Whatever turns you on! (4) And Speed Knobs. . . After that, you're well on your way; just set the action, tweek the intonation, plug her into your favorite wall of amplifiers, and "walla" you're a ROCK STAR!!! Besides, whether or not a guitar costs a few grand or a few hundred, they eventually become a custom creation that is undeniably your own any way. I mean really, that's half of the fun, don't ya think? |
