NEWS Korn uses Nuendo for new album (10/01) Steinberg's Nuendo Media Production system was the centerpiece for Rap Metal powerhouse Korn's latest production effort. Due November 20, this fifth - still untitled - album was produced by Michael Beinhorn (Smashing Pumpkins, Hole), and engineered by Frank Filipetti (Hole, James Taylor).Working at Hollywood's Conway Recording, Nuendo's flexibility allowed them to track the sessions through an SSL 9000J to a Euphonix R1 using DB Technology converters. Nuendo's fast and efficient editing engine proved vital in tackling intricate timing edits and drum sample enhancement."The reason we chose Nuendo for this record is that it sounded great and worked in 24/96," said engineer Frank Filipetti.
