Sting In Private ATMOSphere uses SPL Atmos 5.1 surround miking system
Sting‘s latest DVD production “All this Time” made use of the SPL Atmos 5.1 surround miking system to capture the atmosphere of the concert recorded on Sting's villa near Florence, Italy.
Recording and mixing engineer Simon Osborne says: “The mic brought a feeling of width and space to the mix”.
Ambient surround recording engineer Claus Trelby comments: “I heard the concert on location and the Atmos 5.1 system reproduced an atmosphere that sounded as if you were there. I can't wait to do more recording with this system”.
