XLR and TRS 1/4 in. inputs are also provided for analog connection, which means that if you're moving toward digital one piece of gear at a time, the DS90s are an investment in the future that you can use today!

The cabinets are compact, and are bi-amplified near-field in design. Ultra-flat frequency response is the order of the day here, courtesy of a 60 watt amp for the 6.5 polypropene woofer and a 30 watt amp for the 1 inch soft dome tweeter.

These are fine near-field monitors for any studio, but are highly recommended for those who use the Roland Digital products mentioned above. The digital inputs mean that once a signal enters the VS, VM, or other digital mixer, etc, it remains digital until it hits the air. These monitors are truly revolutionary in design.
