SPL PQ Modell 2050 Parametric Mastering Equaliser
The PQ is the first device in SPL’s new High-Gain Series that clearly outshines current audio signal processing in virtually all key respects. State-of-the-art components and new high-performance circuitry design fully exploits the capabilities of current technical possibilities whilst appropriate interfaces and control systems combine the best possible sound quality with the ease of use of digital patch storage.
The fully parametric, two-channel, five band equaliser operates with SPL's new SUPRA-OpAmps, driven with 120 V operating voltage. With a signal-to-noise ratio of ca. 112 dB and headroom of ca. +34 dB, the PQ achieves a hitherto unattainable dynamic range of ca. 150 dB. Even at extreme settings, the highest signal levels do not result in distortion, making gain reduction unnecessary.
Special Features
The PQ is the first equaliser system with filtering that can be operated in either proportional- or constant-Q mode.
All potentiometers are motorised and linked with all the switches in a digital control panel that offers full Recall/Reset functionality, Channel Link mode and Master-/Slave-Unit mode, e.g. for 5.1 surround processing.
Option: Remote control unit with identical control panel for up to four units.
