73rd Annual Academy Award winners, and the Oscar goes to..

This year's Oscar night was a true delight. The best of film and movie was present not to mention some really great performances including: Sting with "My Funny Friend and Me" from "The Emperor's New Groove," for which he is nominated in the Original Song category.

Sting is also no stranger to films. He has acted in diverse roles in 15 films that include "Quadrophenia" and "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels," as well as performing on Broadway in Kurt Weill's "Threepenny Opera." "Brand New Day," Sting's newest solo album, which is still high on the charts after 76 weeks, won awards for Best Pop Album and Best Pop Male Vocal Performance at the 2000 Grammy Awards.

Also doing a live appearance by live video was Bob Dylan from his live tour. Bob Dylan was also nominated this year for his song "things have changed" from the movie Wonder Boys. Right after his performance Bob was rewarded with an Oscar for this song.

Other performances included a song from singer/songwriter Björk. She the nominated song "I've Seen It All" from the movie "Dancer in the Dark." A performance of the two of the worlds greatest stringed instruments players (violin and cello) who played pieces of the five nominated music scores Chocolat, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Gladiator, Malčna and The Patriot.
