Bush The Science of Things
Bush The Science of Things release date 20011001

Building on their previous work like Sixteen stone and Razorblad suitcase the new Science of things album is definitely a Bush Album. The Album opens with the song Warm machine, a laid back song with the sound you would expect from Bush. The second song , Jesus Online and English Fire and Spacetravel add more of that Bush atmosphere to the album.

Then there is the popular song called "The Chemicals between Us" standing out because of the mixture of strange sounds, effects and something you might not expect from a rock band. It's probably best described like a rock-alternative song but with a dance type sound. A very interesting song with many changes in sound and style.

The ballads on the album "40 Miles From the Sun" and track 11" Letting the Cables Sleep" are some really great songs, capturing emotion and creating a great atmosphere.

Altered States and Mindchanger bring some refreshing guitar sound and refreshing riffs. Especially the last song, mindchanger sounds very cool when you turn it up very loud.

Bush vocalist and guitarist Gavin Rossdale's voice has always been one that has left its signature on the songs, and with this album it's no different. From sensitive to alternative it's on the album.

The Science of things is definitely a Bush album, an interesting mixture of the grunge/rock sound and more modern edited electronic sounds. : Alongside Foo Fighters and the youthful Irish four-piece Ash, Bush are now grunge's standard-bearers. And, although the U.K. quartet may be critically derided, they didn't get to sell more than 15 million copies of their previous records by listening to the press--or, indeed, making any sudden musical changes. So Science of Things is basically Razorblade Suitcase part 2, albeit a little more refined, melodic, and polished. And, although there are no instant megahits like "Swallowed" here, Rossdale's throaty Cobain-influenced rasp on songs like the downbeat "The Chemicals Between Us" and "Prizefighter," coupled with Pulsford's meaty, chunky guitar sound, means that there's more than enough here to keep the fans happy.
