Sounds are adaquate for live performance and light weight makes transport easy. Have issues with hammer action - several notes stick. Maybe I play too hard and wore it out in just 2 under years but unlikely. Can't find repair for this. Seems Yamaha would have worked out this problem being a major acoustic & electric piano manufacturer or maybe I just got a lemon. Disappointing and if I replace will not go with Yamaha again. sorry, always loved them until now. Can't play a piano if the notes don't come back up!! 9 ¯ Great!! It sounds great and doesn't take up the space a real piano would 8 ¯ It's not a 16 foot grand, but... Yamaha P120 Electronic Piano 2-Track Sequencer, MIDI Interface This is a great digital piano for a military family. We move frequently and the sound quality rivals real acoustics, but it is portable and solid-state enough to survive Navy movers. The electric piano voices leave a little to be desired, but overall this is a great instrument and fun to play 9 ¯ Great acoustic and electric piano's GEM Pro Mega 3 Digital Piano Bought if for the great sounds of acoustic and electric piano's. Weighted 88 pianokeys provide a nice grip, Even for sweathy fingers. Great rhodes and wurlitzer sounds with effects tweakable on the fly. Acoustic piano's Are very convincing and plays like a real acoustic piano (I also have the pro 2 pedal box supporting3 pedals For e. G. (incremental) sustain, (incremental) damper, and programmable pedal). Hammond clone is also Very nice, although not a tweakable as dedicated keyboards (like the Korg C3, or Nord Electro 2). Polyfonie: 320 !! Disadvantages: Only 4 parts multitimbral in a sequencer settings may not be enough for some people. Some sounds are not so great, like the synth pads or the bassses. Strings are ok. They all sound a bit similar, but this may be advantageous if you switch between Them in a songs to introduce subtle changes in accompaniment. Overall, not for the synth guys but great for the piano player. It's quite expensive, but if you had to buy a real acoustic piano, real rhodes, real wurlitzer, Real clavinet, then it's a bargain. On top of that, you get a MIDI interface 4 parts multitimbral, nice effects all editable On the fly, and some other interesting sounds (a musical hammond clone, nice DX7 sound, nice vibes, a gorgeous harpsichord) And some ok sounds for pads a layers (strings, . . . ). 9 ¯ why did Yamaha do this?? Yamaha P80 88 Keys Digital Stage Piano Why did Yamaha put their best hammer-graded action keyboard in their cheapest electronic (stage) piano??? I couldn't believe it! It's light, it's 999 euro's, it has great samples (I like the variation of the jazz piano and the Epiano 2 with hard key-sensitivity and no chorus or with lot's of this symphonic effect), and the feeling is just perfect. Be careful: for people who aren't used to play on a normal piano the feeling of the keys can be very heavy. I have this thing since it came out in Europe (two-three years ago?) and it failed me on none of the gigs I had. (By the way: if you think about buying an S80, better buy a P80 and S30.
