This rack-mounted synth is truly revolutionary. With a focus on rhythmic music, the Audity 2000 is much more than a sound module. The core of this rig is the rhythmic pattern generator/arpeggiator that allows simultaneous play of up to 16 fully synchronized patterns of incredible complexity. You can edit these patterns easily for content, voice, and modulation. And perfectly sync up to 8 LFOs and 12 envelopes in each preset to control filters, pitch, pan volume, and more for an almost limitless number of modulation variations. And these patterns can be sent out via MIDI to any other MIDI sound source, bypassing the Audity's sound set. Use the Audity's internal clock or sync to an external MIDI source, depending upon your application.
Onboard sounds are diverse, from traditional analog waves to screaming pitched digital noise. 640 presets are just the starting point for your creation of your own hybrid sounds. To further tweeze your creations, use the Audity's arsenal of 12th order digital resonant modeling filters and dual 24-bit stereo effects processors. 12 real-time controls are at your command via the 4 front panel knobs, and the Emu editing architecture is intuitive and easy to learn. It should also be noted that Emu's owner's manuals are comprehensive and easy to read, allowing you to take advantage of every single feature the Audity 2000 has to offer. Pump all the sound out through 6 assignable outputs, or a stereo digital output.
A word of warning: if your looking for a MIDI sound module that has pianos, organs, strings, brass, and other "regular" sounds, this box is not for you. You'll want to check out the Emu Proteus 2000 for a comprehensive MIDI sound source.
