The PRAM upgrade increases the amount of battery backed RAM in the V.A.S.T. Series instruments and is used for saving objects such as programs, setups, QA banks, and sequences. In fact, everything that can be named and saved goes into the battery backed RAM except for the actual recorded sample data (which go into the SIMMs, see below).
For the K2000 Series, the total memory allocated to all of these objects is 120K expandable to 760K with the PRAM option.
For the K2500 Series, it is 256k, expandable to 1280k with the PRAM option.
For the K2600 Series, it is 486k, expandable to 1506k with the PRAM option.
