Yamaha Acoustic Grand Pianos
For nearly a century, Yamaha grand pianos have defined a singular standard of excellence–quality, consistency and performance have placed these instruments in a class all their own. Yamaha leadership continues today with its enhanced C Series and S Series, both showcased at Winter NAMM 2000, that redefine the heart of the grand piano line, with advancements in tone quality, construction and design elements.
Yamaha Concert and Conservatory Collection grand pianos are truly a superb group of instruments, designed and produced to excel in every respect," says Ray Reuter, Yamaha Piano Marketing Manager. "These pianos are the most recent evidence of a continuing commitment to matching time-honored craftsmanship with the latest advancements in piano design and manufacturing."
It is Yamaha’s never-ending drive to blend timeless artistry with technical sophistication that has led to improvements in its existing lines. The C Series maintains its traditional, elegant appearance while incorporating additional design elements such as a new plate finish currently found only in Yamaha’s most expensive pianos. Bass string specifications have been changed to provide an even more rich and powerful bass than before. Other performance-enhancing elements include new bridge materials and ultra-select solid spruce wood for soundboards. Of course, the C Series will continue to have all the famous attributes that have made this distinguished Series the most popular grand piano line in the world: V-pro plate, extruded aluminum action rails, balanced action, uniform key travel, spruce keys and the Yamaha Servicebond Assurance Program.
For the super-discriminating player, the S Series offers the ultimate in sound and touch. New specification changes reflect the S Series’ close relationship with the world-renowned CFIIIS concert grand, but in a smaller sizes (6' 3", 6' 11").
The upgraded C Series and S Series will begin production in April 2000.
