Playing a simple Bass Rock Rhythm with Drums
In previous bass lessons you have played mostly 1 bar exercises. In this next bass lesson we'll start with multiple bar exercises.
The next rhythm is a simple 2 bar bass rhythm using the A and C notes. Take a look at the next sheet music and bass tabs. The exercise is repeated 4 times. If you can play this type of exercise (with the 4 repeats) you can play most simple pop and rock rhythms. A chorus or verse in a simple pop or rock rhythm would use this kind of simple bass line. But make sure you don't make any mistakes when repeating it, and make sure the switch from each bar to the next sounds smoothly.
