Emagic Logic Audio 4.7: Important News for EXS24 Owners, Free downloadThe new version 4.7 update for Logic Audio is a definite must for every owner of the EXS24 software sampler. From Logic Audio version 4.7 upwards, the EXS24 supports even more sample formats and offers a number of major enhancements to the organization and management of sampler instruments.Simplified management of Sampler Instruments From Logic Audio 4.7, the management of EXS24 instruments gets a complete overhaul. Clearly structured new hierarchical flip menus now allow far more direct access to sounds, rather than having to scroll through long lists of Sampler Instruments. This extremely flexible sound management system can be fully customized. The Sampler Instrument flip menu directly reflects the folder structure established by the user to manage EXS24 instruments. Users can choose to sort instruments in groups —, i.e. basses and guitars — by sound type, alphabetically or by project. The number of possible sampler instruments available for simultaneous playback is directly related to the computer's processing and RAM resources. On request, the EXS24 will place all sampler instruments used in a song into a separate folder — including associated audio files. Sampler Instruments can be stored on this per-project basis in addition to, and without affecting, the original sample archive. EXS24 instruments can now be deleted intelligently via the new "Delete Instruments" option. A built-in security function prevents the accidental deletion of audio files which are used by other Sampler Instruments. Support of new sampler formats from version 4.7 up of Logic Audio In addition to the EXS24 native, WAV, AIFF and SDII formats (with 8 to 24 Bit resolution) and the conversion of Akai S1000/S3000 samples, the EXS24 also supports SampleCell (cross-platform) and the Soundfont2 formats (cross platform). Extended search functionality To assist in keeping the most complex sample libraries organized, the EXS24 TDM can search for samples and sampler instruments on any network volume. In order to minimize the number of sounds displayed in the search results, you can make use of the "instrument filter" which will limit the files displayed to those which contain the word "piano" or "bass", as an example. 24 EXS24 units at the same time From Logic Audio Platinum version 4.7 on, up to 24 audio instruments can be active at the same time — dependent on available CPU and RAM resources.
